Verizon FiOS

Ever heard of Verizon FiOS? It's the modern day digital lifestyle combining work and play to bring you integrated TV and broadband services, making life more productive and fun!

Here are some few facts about Verizon FiOS (TV and Internet)…

* Verizon’s advanced fiber optic technology lets you watch HDTV with less interruptions, pixelation, or weather interference.

* FiOS is more weather resistant and more durable than the copper phone lines or coaxial cable.

* With the massive bandwidth of a 100% fiber-optic network connected directly to the home, you’ll be “future-proofed” for all the hot new Internet tools and applications coming down the pike.

* Verizon FiOS TV was rated #1 in value, overall quality and customer loyalty, according to the 2010 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Survey for the largest subscription TV service providers.

* JD. Power and Associates ranked FiOS "Highest in Residential Television Service Satisfaction in the East Region," three years in a row.

* There's a reason FiOS is America's top-rated high speed Internet service.

* FiOS Internet gives you the fastest upload speeds and amazingly clear streaming video.

* But speed is only valuable when you've got great service. That's why we make sure FiOS isn't just faster, but also more reliable.

* FiOS doesn’t let up during “peak” hours like when the kids come home from school when some cable services slow down due to increased usage.

* In addition, with Flex View, you can buy, rent and watch on-demand video titles on your FiOS TV, on your computer or on your mobile phone.

*Verizon FiOS features awesome TV widgets like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, allowing you to Tweet directly from your TV, using your remote while watching TV. Yes, with FiOS, you can watch Modern Family and Tweet about the scary but true similarities between your husband and Ed O’Neill. Or update your Facebook status with “Yes, the kids are FINALLY in bed!” and virtually high-five with your fellow moms---all directly from your TV

Although I don't have Verizon FiOS it is definetly something my husband and I have talked about getting. I have checked out the prices and it is actually less then what we pay for cable and cable internet. But unfortunately at this time Verizon FiOS isn't available in our area. But as soon as it is we are making the switch! It never hurts to check and see if it is available in yours! With all these great features how could you pass it up!

Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels Review!

I recently got to try Kim & Scott's Gourmet Preztels! I have to say I am hooked! The best part are that:

•Each and every pretzel is hand made from scratch. That's right, no factory made pretzels here!
•Each pretzel is made using only premium ingredients.
•They can be made in the microwave or oven.
•They are made in a nut-free facility.
•They are a great source of whole grains.
•There are no preservatives, trans fats or hydrogenated oils.
•They now come in Gluten Free as well!

I got to try Grilled Cheese, Pizza, Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Crumb,  Cheddar JalapeƱo, and Spinach Feta.

They were all so yummy! My top favorite of course was the pizza as I love pizza and the cheddar jalapeno. As I love hot and spicy! But of course they where all very good! And will definetly be buying more soon! They are quick and easy snacks for anybody as you can just pop them in the microwave and they are done!

It really helps settle late night cravings when pregnant! They also have stuffed bagels that I really want to try next!

What's Eating Your Child? Book Review and Giveaway!

Do you ever wonder what could be causing your child recurrent ear infections? constipation? allergies? or other health problems?

Did you ever think that the food they eat or better yet what they are eating affects all those factors? I have on many occasions. I guess that's why as I gotten older and have 2 different age groups of kids I decide to try a more natural approach to treating my kids.

This is another reason why I jumped at the opportunity to get to review this book!

What’s Eating Your Child? is about the connections between common ailments such as chronic ear infections, reflux, tummy aches, picky eating, poor growth, mood and behavior problems and your child’s diet. Most people agree that a good diet is important but few know how to decipher the effect food has on their health. What’s Eating Your Child? will help parents, medical professionals, teachers and caretakers identify possible dietary links and address the problem.

Kelly Dorfman, the author of this wonderful book, is a health program planner and nutritionist with twenty-nine years of clinical experience. Her specialty is developing nutrition and lifestyle strategies to address complex health problems from autism to bone loss to rare genetic disorders. Physicians and other medical professionals refer cases to her for insight when traditional methods do not attain optimal results.

I can't say enough about this book as it has so much material to read and insight. She gives you the tools to use to be a nutritional detective so you as a parent can help pin point the problem. It really makes you think. I was just in awe over the whole book. I learned a lot. I really recommend this a must read to any parent that is facing health concerns with their children.

I think this is a definite must read book!
One lucky reader will win their very own copy of What's Eating Your Child! Open to US residents only!

Chicken of the Sea Giveaway!

Chicken of the Sea is having a Funniest Kids Quote Contest asking Parents to share the funny things their child says!

As most parents know, children can say the funniest things and ask the funniest questions. Now, thanks to Chicken of the Sea, that funny gem could win your family a trip to a Disney park, or a cash prize of $1,000 or $500.
Chicken of the Sea is launching the Chicken of the Sea Funniest Kids’ Quotes Contest™, an interactive contest asking parents to submit the funniest thing their child has ever said with the contest winners being chosen by popular public vote.
Parents are encouraged to visit Chicken of the Sea on Facebook and submit a short, written description showcasing their child’s funny comment or question. The contest submission period will end June 6, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
Starting June 7 at 9 a.m. PDT, contest participants are encouraged to get their Facebook friends to vote for them once per day. Voting ends June 28, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. The grand-prize winner, first runner-up and second runner-up will be announced Thursday, July 7, 2011 at noon PDT.
“Being a parent myself, I remember the many times my children would look at me, smile and ask the silliest question that would completely catch me off guard,” said John Sawyer, Chicken of the Sea’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “With this contest, we are giving our consumers the opportunity to engage with the brand in a new way, and have some fun in the process.”
The contest builds off of the brand’s new campaign that brings its iconic Mermaid to life. In a recent video, the Mermaid tries to explain to a little boy why Chicken of the Sea is the best tuna with the boy asking “why?” over and over again, as children are known to do quite often.
Submissions are limited to 250 words. The deadline for submissions is June 6, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Visit www.Facebook.com/ChickenoftheSea for more information and additional rules.
During the contest submission period, Chicken of the Sea will also be giving away prize packs to one random contest entrant each Friday.
A seafood category leader, Chicken of the Sea provides a variety of shelf-stable seafood products, including tuna, salmon, crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, mackerel and sardines. The Chicken of the Sea brand and famous Mermaid icon are among the most recognized brands in America.
The Walt Disney Co. or Facebook are not participants or sponsors of the Chicken of the Sea Funniest Kids’ Quotes Contest™.
With that in mind Chicken of the Sea has given me the privilege to host a giveaway for 1 of 3 prize packs! Prizes include a dish towel, oven mitt, measuring cups, bag clip, keychain and Chicken of the Sea seafood products all packed in a reusable grocery bag!

3 lucky readers will win a pize pack from Chicken of the Sea!

Who would of thought?

As many of you know I have been working on potty training my soon to be 2 yr old. Who will be 2 this Sunday! Geesh where did the time go? In hopes to have her fully potty trained by the time I have this next one. Well we have had ups and downs. But the other day I  was talking to my husband on the phone and told him she went through 6 pairs of training panties that morning. She was being rebellious no doubt. He said why don't you put her in regular panties and just put some plastics over that way she gets really uncomfortable. I was like okay it's worth a shot. I had small panties from Faith so I dug those out and put them on her with plastics over. Let me tell you she told me the rest of the day when she had to go potty!

Now what is up with that? I am assuming that she just wants to be like her bigger sissy. She wants to do whatever she does anyways. But geesh I was like if we knew this sooner I would of never wasted my time in making her trainers. It's the little things! It was one of those why didn't I think of this sooner moments for sure! :)

Being pregnant you always want to feel and look your best! I have been looking for cute maternity dresses everywhere as it's spring and hot! To me a dress is just so comfortable and cute when pregnant.

I was excited when I found kiki's fashions! They have tons of cheap maternity clothes! I recently got this cute White Black Flower Print Maxi Maternity Dress.
I have a cute little short sleeve cardigan to go over it. This dress is actually pretty long on me. I put my cute black summer shoes on with it that have heel and it still went to the floor. I am 5'3 1/2 so I figure when my belly gets bigger it will take up the slack. I will say this dress is true to it's size and measurements. Make sure when buying you take your measurements before ordering.

I can't say enough about how much I love this dress. It is made of silky fabric. I know when my husband sees me in this dress he is going to love it also.

Mother's Day Make Up Tips from make-up artist Jake Baily

I don't know about you but I am always looking for great tips on how to make my make-up look the best. So, I thought I would share these great tips!

This Mother’s Day, take the time to pamper yourself for a change! Celebrity make‐up artist Jake Bailey has teamed up with COVERGIRL to offer the following quick and easy tips for looking redcarpet‐ready, even if just to enjoy a little “mommy me‐time”with breakfast in bed!
All About the Eyes
For moms on‐the‐go, an eyelash curler and healthy coat of rich, black mascara is all you need for a clean daytime look. Curling lashes opens the eyes, and applying mascara close to the base will define the lashline and really accentuate your eyes. Pluck any stray eyebrow hairs, and use a clear mascara or brow gel to keep unruly hairs from straying.
Hip Lips Look Light & Bright
Forget too‐dark reds and the same old nude –rosy shades are the most universally flattering for spring. Bright pinks work best on pale skin, and corals do wonders for olive‐toned complexions. For a flawless application, use a lip scrub to remove any dead skin, leaving behind a smooth surface. Apply lipstick directly from the tube, and refine corners and edges using a lip brush or lip liner of the same color.

Fake Flawless Skin with the Right Foundation
For the most natural look and fastest application, use your fingers to gently blend a small amount of foundation over problem‐prone areas –cheeks, nose and forehead –where pores and redness can appear. For more coverage, use a foundation brush to apply, and gently press a sponge over heavier spots to absorb excess. One of my favorite products is COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless foundation. It’ super easy to use, and anti‐aging ingredients won’ settle into fine lines or wrinkles (a common concern for my clients) so the result is a polished look that lasts all day. Perfect for moms with a short supply of time for make‐up, there’ no need to powder, and sunscreen is built right in (SPF 22).
Pass up the Powder

Cream blushes are a quick and simple way to achieve a
bright and healthy‐looking complexion. Again, I recommend using your
fingertips to blend a tiny bit onto the apples of your cheeks. COVERGIRL & Olay’
Simply Ageless line has a sculpting blush that helps contour cheekbones, and
since it’ the same texture as the foundation, it won’ disturb coverage and blends
seamlessly. For extra glamour, use a soft‐bristled brush to swirl the color onto
the apples of cheeks and back toward the cheekbone for an airbrushed look.

Update on Me!

Well as you all know we are expecting our 7th addition to the family in August. I am so not looking forward to going through this hot summer. It's been up to the 90s already and it's not even summer so I can only imagine how hot it will be.

Little miss has been very active and we have yet to pick a name. I pray that we have one before she gets here. I guess since we have so many girls as it is does kinda make it hard to name another.

Anyways, I went last week Thursday for my 1 hour Glucose Tolerance Test and I hate to say I failed it. So, I get the joys of doing the 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Test tomorrow. It's kinda of a shocker that I failed it since this pregnancy I have completely cut out soda which I use to love but I got sick drinking it at the beginning of pregnancy and that just sticks in my head. Really makes me nauseated thinking of it. I also cut out all but 1 cup of coffee a day. So, my caffeine intake is low. I don't eat sweets but maybe once in a while if at all.

The only thing I can think that caused me to fail it had to be my carb intake. Guess I will have to cut those way back if I fail it this time. Whether I pass it or fail it I know it will be for the best.

I haven't been on here regularly like I use to because of potty training. My goal is to get my soon to be 2 yr old completely potty trained before little miss gets here. So, far we have yet to poop in the potty. But at least she tells me when she has to go pee.

Boogie Wipes Review and Giveaway!

I can't say enough on how much I love Boogie Wipes! I don't know about you but with the weather being so wacky cold at night hot during the day here. It's been head cold season add that to allergies and you got a mess! Let's just say we have been battling it at my house.

That's why I was so happy when Boogie Wipes sent me 30 count pack of Boogie Wipes, 2 $0.50 coupons for when I buy more, 9 sachets (3 of each scent – Great Grape, Fresh Scent and Magic Menthol), and 2 Achooz sachets! I always keep Boogie Wipes in my diaper bag or in my purse. The makers of Boogie Wipes also came out with Achooz for adults. I have to say I keep those in my purse for myself.

I hate sneezing my head off or having a runny nose where tissue rubs it raw or my kids nose too. My poor 3 yr old did that just last week as I had no boogie wipes and I have been working with her on not using her clothes. So, her nose was pretty raw and bleeding. But when we use our Boogie Wipes it's a nice soft cushion with saline solution. I have to say Great Grape is our favorite scent.

Right now, Boogie Wipes in honor of National Provider Appreciation Day which is May 6th has created an exclusive Boogie Wipes kit which contains: a poster with Save the Sleeve pledge guidelines, 50 Boogie Wipe samples, $0.50 off coupons, 2 classroom canisters, and 10 Free Boogs, the Boogie Buddy classroom mascot. This kit is available for a limited time only and for the price of $15 until May 6th.

Boogie Wipes is offering one of my lucky readers 2 30-count packs of Boogie Wipes and coupons!

Mandatory Entry: Tell me what scent you would like to try the most. This must be completed before you can qualify for additional entries. All extra entries who don’t do the mandatory entry will be deleted. Please leave a valid email address in your comment as this is how I will contact you should you win.
