HAPPYBABY Review and Giveaway!

HAPPYBABY sent me some food to try for my little ones. I was thrilled as I am always looking for the best food for my little ones. They sale a line of organic baby and toddler food!

They sent me HAPPYPUFFS in Organic Apple and Organic Green to try. I was really surprised that my little one liked the Organic Green. But she ate them right up and even my toddler liked them, too. Also in my package I got HAPPYMELTS in banana and mango and strawberry. These too where a success as both my little one and toddler loved them.

I got HAPPYBELLIES Organic Brown Rice and Organic Oatmeal cereal.  HAPPYBELLIES cereals are the first organic baby cereal to incorporate DHA for brain and eye development and the first baby food to incorporate the power of probiotics for baby's wellness. They don't use milk products of any kind in their cereals. Another great plus is it's 100% natural. They support sustainable agriculture. No pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no genetically engineered ingredients (GEIs). BPA FREE.

I also got the HAPPYBABY Frozen which I got Baby Dhal + Mama Grain, Easy Going Greens + Grrreat Greens, and Gobble Gobble + Paradise Purée . My little one didn't like the Easy Going Greens + Grrreat Greens. I was surprised about the Grrreat Greens as it has mango and pear mixed with the spinach. But she made the ugliest face and even my toddler didn't like them. My little one  for sure didn't like the Easy Going Greens. I guess the bitter part got to her. Maybe if I would of introduced this earlier she might have liked them. Plus the texture of the Easy Going Greens wasn't as smooth. Now all the others she loved. Another thing I loved about these is each box has 12 individual cubes of baby food, so there is no waste and no heating in plastic. You just pop out what you need, heat, and enjoy.

Then I got the HAPPYBITES which I got Chicken Bites, Salmon Stix, and Mac + Cheese. Now these where a BIG success at my house. I love the fact that she can feed these to herself. I love the fact that there is no artifical flavors or additives.

HAPPYFAMILY is partnered with non-profit Project Peanut Butter. So,every time a parent buys one of our products they also feed a malnourished child for a day in Malawi and Sierra Leone through PPB.

Well HAPPYFAMILY  is going to give one of my lucky readers:

2 free trial coupons for each of our products:HAPPYBABY, HAPPYBELLIES, HAPPYBABYPUFFS, HAPPYMELTS and HAPPYBITES

YoBaby Review and Giveaway!

YoBaby is a line of  whole milk, organic yogurt products aimed at helping babies and young children develop well.  The yogurts also contain DHA for brain development  YoBaby includes a blend of six different live cultures to help your child’s digestive system work at its best too. Since it’s organic, it’s made without the use of antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones, and persistent pesticides. I think that’s something we can all feel a little better about when it comes to our young children.

So, I was happy when Yobaby sent me 2 coupons for one 6-pack Yobaby yogurt or one 4-pack drinkables. I chose getting two 6-packs. I wanted to try one 4-pack drinkables but our local Walmart didn't carry them. I got 3 strawberry bannana, 3 raspberry pear, 3 apple, and 3 mixed berry. My little one just loves them I mixed mine with baby cereal even though it had cereal puree in some of them. My little one likes things a little thicker consistence then my 2 yr old.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics  yogurt can be introduced as early as six months. Why? The cultures in yogurt decrease the lactose and help break down the hard-to-digest milk proteins. This is why babies can eat yogurt, but not drink milk, before one year.

So, YoBaby is giving one of my lucky winners 2 free trial coupons for YoBaby 6-packs or 4- pack drinkable yogurt and 1 Eric Carle Growth Chart.

Potty Training

I am fixing to embark on a new journey of potty training again. I am currently working on making my little one some training pants. I got one done and another halfway done then got to get cutting out more.

I first wanted to test the size and see how they fit. You sure don't want to cut out a whole bunch and have wasted all that fabric for nothing. So, once I make enough trainers we start the potty training process.

I for one feel bad that I waited this late to start consider my last one I started at 8 months. Yes, I said 8 months. I had never heard of elimination communication before till I had my 2 yr old. I started reading about it when she was 7 months and then I started watching for her cues. I had her fully potty trained no accidents before she was even 2. I had her telling me verbally when she had to go by 15 months. We did have some accidents but that is to be expected.

Now my youngest is 1 and I feel like I am slacking. But now that school is done for the kids I can devote my time to potty training. That's really what I need as potty training is actually training the trainer to take the little one to the potty. I for one believe that even if you don't plan on potty training at least get a little potty and sit them on it so they can get use to it. Also, that way the little one isn't scared of the potty. I have read there is a age when one does become scared of the potty but I for one can't remember what age was said.

As a mom of 6 kids, I did deal with one of my kids being scared of the potty. I can tell you in all my potty training experience girls aren't necessary easier than boys and visa versa. Another good note is to set a timer. I usually start off with taking them every 30 mins and if they don't potty then take them back in 10 more mins. But if you are like me you can't keep looking at the clock so a timer is really handy.

So, stay tuned as I will update periodally about my potty training experience.

Playskool Wheel Pals Review

My little ones love playing cars with there older siblings. I always worry about them trying to put them in their mouth. So, when I saw these Wheel Pals they where a answer to the solution.

They come in a assortment of cheery jungle or farm friends each sold separately

My 2 yr old insisted on having the purple elephant. She loves playing with it along with my 1 yr old. These cute little Wheel Pals are designed for 12 months and up.
They are the perfect size for little hands to grab and spend hours playing with.

You can get yours at Playskool.

Here are a few of the others in this collection.

Aren't they cute? Now my 2 yr old insists that we get the others.

Playskool Blocksters Blockanimals Review

My little one loves playing peekaboo. So, when playskool sent us Blocksters Blockanimals they where a hit with her!

They sent us the farm animal blocksters and she just loves them. They come in 3 different shapes. You have a square, triangle, and cylinder. Also, in each one is a fun surprise of either a cow, pig, or chicken. My little ones favorite is the chicken. They either come with a dial, clicker, or rattle. The suggested age for these are 9 months and up.

These keep my little on busy for hours. All I say is can you find the chicken and she just loves opening up the triangle to find it. Then she just laughs to her it seems like they are playing peekaboo. My 2 yr old also loves these as she is learning her shapes and colors. These work great for that purpose too as I hold up each one I ask her what shape it is. They are good for fine motor skill development as well.

These also come in jungle theme too.

You can purchase any of these at Playskool.

Huggies Jean Diapers- What will they think of next?

Just when I thought I saw it all. This is really out there. Huggies just came out with their new denim inspired diaper. So, now Huggies Little Movers has a new look Jeans Diapers.

I am taking this as a baby form of daisy dukes. This is really out there. What is this really saying? Geesh! From what I see so far they are only out in Target that I have seen. They are going for $19.99 while the regular little movers are going for $16.99. So, I ask this my friends would you pay $3 more for these diapers? Would you put these on your baby?

Who knows what they will come up with next.

aden + anais Review

My little one just has to have a security blanket to sleep. So, when aden + anais let me pick a item for a review I had to pick these cute nay nay- butterfly issies security blanket.
They are made from natural cotton muslin which is breathable and their open weave consturction allows liberal airflow for even the youngest baby. Which if you are like me you always worry about the baby breathing especially in the early months. They are designed to be portable and just the right size for cuddling with. They are 16 x 16 inches and each pack contains two identical Issies. Which is great so if one is in the wash you have the other for snuggling up with. They are available in several prints.

I just love butterflies! So, I just had to have this for my little one. They are so soft and light weight which is good considering I live in the hottest and most humid place on earth. She loves these securtiy blankets. So, does my 2 yr old who insists that the other one is hers.

You can get your very own Issies- security blanket at aden + anais. Or you can check out what other great items they have like the dream blanket, swaddles, or baby sleeping bag and many more. These would make great gifts for baby showers or even for your own little one.

Emerson Creek Pottery Review

My little one just loves picking flowers for mommy! So, I was happy when Emerson Creek Pottery sent me this beautiful bud vase to review. It holds all those pretty flowers she picks for mommy.
This beautiful piece of workmanship is handmade and hand painted at Emerson Creek Pottery. Not only that but they are all Lead Free!

Not only do they have this beautiful vase but they have dinnerware, bakeware, kitchenware, bath accessories, and much much more.

Here is some information from their website:

"Influenced by the energy of Early American cobalt decoration, owners Priscilla Palmer and Jim Leavitt founded Emerson Creek Pottery in 1977. Priscilla developed the unique technique of applying natural pigments to an absorbent glaze with a Japanese Sumi-e brush. The spontaneity of the brush stroke, combined with the accuracy of design yields our distinctively recognizable style. Priscilla's deep love of the natural world provides a multitude of organic designs for all of Emerson Creek's pottery.

Our ceramic pottery has been featured at Monticello, Mt. Vernon and the Smithsonian Institute, as well as in fine homes across America. We have had the pleasure of designing customized pottery patterns for numerous clubs and organizations.

Our pottery is formed of clay made onsite. Each piece is hand made, hand painted and fired in a gas kiln. Each pattern is a series of carefully planned strokes. No templates or stencils are used. The patterns are practiced and committed to memory. The artists paint the pattern again and again. Each piece is alike and yet different, like flowers in a field. We are currently featuring 14 different lines of ceramic pottery, including our beloved signature line - Field of Iris, a classic since 1977. All of our work is microwave and dishwasher safe, lead free and ovenproof."

Here are a few other products I would love to have from Emerson Creek Pottery.

As you can see I love dragonflies and I do love butterflies as well. I might just have to make a suggestion for that line to them. So, if you are looking for some great ceramic pottery I would suggest looking at Emerson Creek Pottery first.
They are offering my readers  this code  KB510  for 15%  off a $25.00 min order good thru 6/30.

Memories

Why do kids have to grow up? I remember this time last yr so well. I was huge and miserably pregnant as I was overdue or so I felt it. H didn't think she was. For some reason or another my oldest and my youngest had the same edd of May 12th and guess what? Neither came on that day. NOOOO they both had to be late. My oldest he was 4 days late which is expected with your first but you would think that by the time you get to #6 they wouldn't be late. Ugh! It's bad when you go into the dr office on your due date he says oh your just 2 cm. Not what you want to hear for sure.

It doesn't help none when you live in one of the hotest and humid place on earth or so it feels like. Yep went on having contracts from that dr visit till I had her. Not fun but well worth it. I remember calling the dr that Friday May 15th 2009 and asking if I could come in and him check me. Praise God he was on call so he had no prob. I went in and he says to me you are having contractions aren't you. I was like yes and I am tired as they would be 5 mins apart for about 2 hours then stop and wait 2 hours and do the whole process over again for 3 days. Not fun but at least I did get a break.

So, he checked me and goes well your 5 cm we can admit you in active labor and break your water and you can have this baby today! Boy was I so happy! I guess you can say I am one of the luckiest people as my obgyn has delivered my last 2 babies! What are the chances of that happening? Anyways he broke my water and in 2 hours we had our H. It's hard to believe she is going to be 1 Saturday and that my oldest is going to be 12. Where does the time go?

It just seems the older we get time flies by faster and faster. All we can do is just hold onto the memories and cherish the new ones. If there was a way to keep them from growing up boy would I be all over it. But Praise God for my kids! They are such a blessing. There is never a dull moment in my house as everyday is a new adventure.

CoverGirl Blast Review!

Are you looking for expert results without the make-up artist expert? With COVERGIRL, getting shimmering, sculpted lips and colorful smoky eyes is a cinch. Covergirl has recently came out with smokyshadowblast and shineblast lipgloss.
Their shadow stick makes it really easy to create quick and easy smoky eye look. Which is a plus for me if you are always trying to rush to get ready.
So, I was pleased when CoverGirl selected me to do a review. They sent me  CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Citrus Flare with radiate fucsia shineblast lip gloss. I really love the ease of being able to put it on without having to worry of messing up my look. The fact that it is a stick is such a plus as dealing with eyeshadows with applicators can cause such a mess especially if you are being rushed to get ready. If you are a mom you are always in a rush. Of course I am always the last one to get ready.
I do have to say the lip gloss didn't smell that great and really lip gloss? It didn't do nothing my other lipglosses don't do? I really wouldn't waste my money on the lip gloss part.

So, if you are looking for a new look or wanting that smoky look I say you should give CoverGirl Blast a try!
They have a great place on there website where you can try out the Smokyshadowblast on. So, go on over and try out the look here http://www.covergirl.com/products/collections/blast .

*This is my honest opinion. I was sent this product free of charge to review but was not paid to say these things*

Mother's Day!

First off I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there.

Secondly I want to share my best Mother's Day gift yet!

Here is a little history:

I have been wanting to get in better shape not only for myself but for my family. After having so many kids your body tends not to bounce back like it should. Of course getting older doesn't help either. So, back in December I got a free 30 day membership at Curves. I used it and lost 5 lbs. Wooohoo! Then I asked hubby about joining he said not right now wait till they do free enrollment. I was like ok. Well free enrollment rolled around and we couldn't do it then either. No biggie I just kept working out at home doing the 30 day Shredd with Juilann Micheals. I so recommend this video!

Well during this time hubby was talking about a place called Anytime Fitness. I so happened to see we had one just open up. So, he had me call there find out prices and they are the same price for one as Curves but without the enrollment fee and you can workout anytime. You get a great deal on 2 people by the way.

But of course we couldn't do this then either. So, instead he surprises me last night. He gives me this weird looking tag thing and said here is your Mother's Day present. I looked at him funny like what is this and he said it's a key. I was like what kind of key is this? He said the key to my heart being silly. I kept looking at him puzzled like this is no way a key. He kept saying it was. Finally he gave me a envelope that said it all! A 12 month membership with free tanning at Anytime Fitness! I was soooo happy I cried!

Now I can work on getting in better shape! I was working out with videos but now I won't have the distraction of the babies while working out.

So, what was your Mother's Day present or tell me what was your best Mother's Day present so far? I can't wait to read your comments!

5 things on my"Honey-Do" list that never get done

Twittermoms is asking us bloggers to find 5 Honey-Do items  that never get done. Oh this should be easy!

1. Fix my suburban.
2. Put up the girls bunk beds.
3.Need to till our garden so we can plant our veggies.
4.Get that deer head out of my deep freeze!
5. Put a shelf in the LOs room.

I have to say my list isn't that bad. But #1 is really aggravating when you are married to a mechanic. So, yes that saying is true if you marry a mechanic your car will never get fixed. Or it will get fixed after he fixes everyone elses. I have a friend that is married to a carpenter and her house is always got something broken. So, at least I am not alone.
