Eden Loves Bloggers Program!

If you own a blog you might be interested in this!

Are you a blogger who wants to review free products, earn Eden gift cards, or make money on your blog through affiliate advertising? If you said yes to any of these then you might be interested in joining the "Eden Loves Bloggers" program! They have so many different options to chose from. Eden partners with all kinds of bloggers. All you have to have is a blog that has been active for 3 months and updated regularly! They want to work with you!
The great thing is you can pick what you want to do and what works for your blog. They even have Eden Cooks Club. I am definetly checking that out as I am always looking for new recipes to try!

I have always had a misconception about Eden Fantasys. I had no idea that they sold so many different items. I've discovered that they sell make-up, beauty & body products, lingerie, dresses, and much more.

This is a great way to earn giftcards for some stuff for you! You always need to feel good about yourself so why not pamper yourself? Who doesn't need some new lingerie? I can always use some.

What are you doing to get in shape?

I have been working on getting back in shape. Like most people I don't have time to hit the gym. I use to but then our 5 month old came along and just when I was fixing to start back she decides she is changing her wake up time to 5 am. Yeah go figure! But she is teething now and I am hoping to readjust her schedule to back on track as going to the gym at 5 am would work so much better for me.

But instead I have been working out with my Wii Fit Plus. I have to say I love it. My husband bought me a Wii and the Wii Fit Plus with balance board after I had our 5 month old as he knew it would be hard for me to hit back to the gym right after having a baby. He knew I wanted to get back in shape. I have to say it has not been bad considering I was working out the whole time I was pregnant and before I got pregnant with her.

But did you know that hula hooping for 1 month you can lose up to 2 inches? I didn't and was like really. Well the other day when I was working out with the Biggest Loser for the Wii my clothes fell off. How embarrassing but good thing I was working out at home! So, I decided to go measure myself. I have lost 3 inches in my waist and hips! I am so excited!

They say if you do 10 mins of hula hooping a day you can lose 2 inches in one month. I have been doing the hula hoop on the Wii Fit for 10 mins as I unlocked it on the super hula. Of course I doubt I could keep a regular hula hoop up any other way. Also, hula hooping helps improve your core strength.

If you are in for another great work out I do suggest  you try the Biggest Loser. That will kick your butt. Oh my! But I have to say I am no longer tired and have tons more energy and feel great!

What are you doing this year to get in shape?

Courageous

Have you seen Courageous? If you haven't it is a must see movie! I have seen all the movies made by Sherwood Pictures and love them all.

This movie is about four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforment officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: Fatherhood.
While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark. When a tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God... and to their children?

Filled with action-packed police drama, COURAGEOUS is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

This movie will have you laughing, crying, and cheering them on. This is one movie that will challenge you! If you haven't seen this movie you should. Also, check out their other films like Facing the Gaints, Flywheel, and Fireproof. I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Yummy Sourdough Bread Recipe!

I love baking especially during the winter as it really helps warm the house up and I don't have to turn on the heater. So, last week I decided to make a sourdough starter. I was kind of skeptical as last time I made sourdough bread it turned out horrible.

But this time I used a different recipe and starter. It turned out melt in your mouth delicious! I mean the bread was like eating air. I can't get over how good it is. I was trying to test it out as I was making it to use for our sandwiches Friday as we are going out of town to a Youth Rally. I wanted some really awesome sandwiches. Well, I know now! I will be making more for tomorrow!

The recipe says it makes 2 loaves but as you see I ended up with 3.

Country Crust Sourdough

2 (1/4 oz) envelopes active dry yeast
1 1/4 cups warm water (100 to 110 degrees)
1 cup Sourdough Starter (at room temperature)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 large eggs, beaten
5 1/2 to 6 cups unbleached all purpose flour
Vegetable oil
Butter or margarine, melted

Combine yeast and warm water in a 2-cup liquid measuring cup; let stand for 5 minutes.
Combine yeast mixture, Sourdough Starter, 1/4 cup oil, sugar, salt, eggs, and 3 cups flour in a nonmetal bowl. Gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic (8 to 10 minutes). Place in a well-greased bowl turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free of drafts, 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
Punch dough down, and divide in half; place on a floured surface. Roll each half into an 18-x 9-inch rectangle. Tightly roll up dough, starting at narrow side; pinch seam and ends together to seal. place loaves seam side down, in 2 greased 9-x5-inch loafpans. Brush tops with oil. Cover and rise in a warm place, free from drafts about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes or until loaves sound hollow when tapped. Remove from loaves from pans; brush with melted butter.

I promise this recipes is so yummy. The thing that took the longest was getting my starter started it takes 3 days. But so worth the wait.

Do you have a favorite bread recipe? If so please share. I love making bread and am always looking for yummy recipes.

New Year, New Eating Habits!

I am not wild about New Year Resolutions as people tend to fail at reaching them. So, instead I set goals to me they are easier to reach then resolutions.

This year I have decided instead of eating sandwiches for lunch to eat a healthy salad at lunch. You would think it would get old but it hasn't. I change it up every day. I sometimes add Hormel Natural Choice deli meat chopped up to my salad for a different flavor. I love the fact that these deli meats contain no preservatives, artificial ingredients or MSG and include a variety of options including turkey, ham, chicken, and roast beef, so I have endless possibilities. Or I sometimes add Hormel chunk chicken.

Yummy options to add to any salad. I love to add cottage cheese as well. One of my kids favorites is making homemade pasta salad for lunch. I try to keep it interesting.

I am slowly working on getting healthier options for other meals. Another great thing to do is include your kids! If they get involved with the meal planning it helps knowing they will eat it. My kids love giving input and helping in the kitchen.

So, what goals have you set for the New Year? What are some of your healthy go to recipes? Please share!

What are your goals for 2012?

As we ring in the New Year it is always the time for New Year's resolutions. I myself don't make resolutions I make goals I want to accomplish this year. I know close to the same meaning but not quite.

Here are my goals:

1. Save more money
2. Get better organized
3. Get in better shape
4. Lose weight

Those are my goals this year. I know most peoples are get in shape and lose weight but I just had a baby 4 1/2 months ago and I am still now where I want to be yet. I have already took the first step since having her in eating better. I have lost a good bit of weight.

I am working on getting better organized. It's hard as it seems I am constantly cleaning out the kids drawers. I can't get over how fast my 4 1/2 month old is growing. I have had to change out her clothes 3 time already and pack them up.

As far as saving more money, I already coupon but I want to see more savings this year then last.

So, tell me some of your goals that you have for 2012.
