What are you doing to get in shape?

I have been working on getting back in shape. Like most people I don't have time to hit the gym. I use to but then our 5 month old came along and just when I was fixing to start back she decides she is changing her wake up time to 5 am. Yeah go figure! But she is teething now and I am hoping to readjust her schedule to back on track as going to the gym at 5 am would work so much better for me. 

But instead I have been working out with my Wii Fit Plus. I have to say I love it. My husband bought me a Wii and the Wii Fit Plus with balance board after I had our 5 month old as he knew it would be hard for me to hit back to the gym right after having a baby. He knew I wanted to get back in shape. I have to say it has not been bad considering I was working out the whole time I was pregnant and before I got pregnant with her.

But did you know that hula hooping for 1 month you can lose up to 2 inches? I didn't and was like really. Well the other day when I was working out with the Biggest Loser for the Wii my clothes fell off. How embarrassing but good thing I was working out at home! So, I decided to go measure myself. I have lost 3 inches in my waist and hips! I am so excited!

They say if you do 10 mins of hula hooping a day you can lose 2 inches in one month. I have been doing the hula hoop on the Wii Fit for 10 mins as I unlocked it on the super hula. Of course I doubt I could keep a regular hula hoop up any other way. Also, hula hooping helps improve your core strength. 

If you are in for another great work out I do suggest  you try the Biggest Loser. That will kick your butt. Oh my! But I have to say I am no longer tired and have tons more energy and feel great!

What are you doing this year to get in shape?


  1. I've been using the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD for over a month now. I love it. I don't feel like I need to loose any more weight, but I love doing it for the strength and toning and it's an extra pick me up in the morning.

    I also LOVE the hula hoop method! I was able to review a hula hoop from Hoop Mama's on Etsy - and boy is that a lot of fun!

    1. I have done Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred before she is a killer! That's another reason why I love the Biggest Loser for the Wii. Lots of great exercises and keeps me more accountable!

  2. I've heard other people mention hoola hooping. I tried it last week. I was going to do 5 minutes, but I only made it to 3. I'm going to try to do a little bit each day. I love pilates.
