Babymoon Pillow Review!

The Baby Moon Pillow has many different uses! It is best known for helping hold a young baby’s head to help prevent Flat Head Syndrome but can also help support baby’s neck in the sitting position! This is a wonderful product to help your life as a new mother just a little easier!

This is the pillow I received:

HOW TO USE:

Head Support

Recommended for Newborn to 6 Months

The two arms can be attached to make a head support by overlapping the ends of the right arm (Velcro arm) and the left arm. The Velcro under the right arm sticks to the white portion on the upper side of the left arm to create a secure attachment which prevents the head from falling through the opening. The circular opening of the pillow cradles the back of the head while providing comfortable placement and optimal positioning. The length of the white portion allows the pillow to be adjusted to various sizes. *It should not be used as a head support or pillow to sleep on for any infant over six months of age or for any infant that can roll over from back to front, as this may cause a suffocation hazard.

Neck Support

Recommended for 6 Months to 12 Months

Once the two arms are detached, the Velcro should be covered with the Peak-a-Boo cover located on the upper side of the right arm. The Peak-a-Boo cover is the self-fabric flap which should be turned inside out to hide the Velcro in order to avoid irritation to the skin.

I have to say I love this pillow as my little one isn't too found of being laid flat on her back when she is awake at all. This helps give her added support and makes her happy too. I think she thinks she is a big girl already. I love the fact that it can act as a neck pillow when they get older. I really hate when their head just lulls over. Makes your neck hurt just thinking of it!

I can't recommend this pillow enough but will make sure that all my expecting friends know all about it!

*This product was provided to me free of charge for purpose of this review. This is my honest opinion of this product and no monetary compensation was received for my opinion*

Myreviewsnow.net Kohl's Giftcard Giveaway!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of MyReviewsNow.net for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love shopping online, but I rarely find something and just buy it immediately on the spot. I always have to research and put a lot of thought into a purchase before I actually click that check out button!

And apart from products like music, books, and clothing, I almost always read at least one review before deciding on a product to purchase.

My Reviews Now (myreviewsnow.net) is a website where you can read reviews for all those products and services that you've heard of and have been curious about.  And then you can purchase them right on site after you read the review.

The site features a wide variety of products and services: everything from gourmet gifts like Shari's Berries to computers and electronics, to household services and products and stores like Zale's, Vitamin World, and Oakley.  You can also find great stuff for kids like popular video games, the Lego Store, and the Mattel store.

And right now myreviewsnow.net is giving away a $350 Kohl's gift card.  To enter, all you have to do is like myreviewsnow.net on Facebook and tweet the following message: I love to #shopathome online!

Worldwide Day of Play! #C2Play2Day

September 24th is considered Worldwide Day of Play, which is the centerpiece of Nickelodeon's The Big Help- a program to empower kids and families to make healthy lifestyle choices every day. Clorox 2 is a proud sponsor of Nickelodeon’s 8th Annual Worldwide Day of Play. In addition, Clorox 2 http://clorox2play2day.com/ and Social Moms have teamed up to ask how your very own families play outdoors!

Up till recently I didn't do much outdoors as I was pregnant with our 7th child. But over the past few years I have gotten more active and have focused on trying to live a more healthier lifestyle and keep the kids active. I tried to stay as active as possible when I was pregnant.

Typically, our activities include going to the park and walking the huge track. Some of our family favorite activities to do outside are…

Volleyball- We all love this game and we play it alot at church fellowships or anytime we can. The kids love it and since we have been practicing with them more on our own volleyball court they have gotten better. Plus, it built up their confidence. What better way to burn calories running around!

Freeze Tag- My kids love playing freeze tag and they love it even better when we play it with them. With us having a huge yard really helps.

Hide and Seek- Who doesn't love a good game of hide and seek? We got tons of trees and covered area which makes this game tons of fun!

German Spotlight- This is a new one our kids introduced us to it. It is similar to hide and seek except it is done at night! Your base is a jail so once you capture a few if one of the kids hasn't been can go over to the base and yell Jail break! They all are back loose. The kids love it! Great when you have tons of kids!

These are just a few of our favorite family activities. How about your family? Do you spend time outside together, and what are your favorite things to do? Will you be participating in the Worldwide Day of Play? I know we will! Join in at the Clorox Play 2Day Pledge hub here, http://clorox2play2day.com/.

Please share any ideas for outdoor fun; we're always looking for new things to do outside as a family!

Eye Buy Direct Review and Giveaway!

I recently had to get my older daughter some new glasses. I hate eye glasses shopping as they are always so expensive at the eye doctor office or I just can't find any I like.

Well I found eyebuydirect.com and I love how easy they make it to find glasses! You can find the glasses you want by selecting what frame, shape, style, material and what type whether it be bifocals, trifocals, or progressive lens. They also have it where you can find the size you need by measuring your old glasses and getting the total width, lens width, and total length. Which I have to say narrows down your time in finding glasses! A major plus in my book!

But that's not all they even have a Eye Try! What's that you ask? Well it's where you upload a picture of yourself or whoever you are buying glasses for and place the glasses on their face to see what they will look like! Who is not to love this feature? Seriously it's like actually going and trying them on! So no more guessing are these going to look good on me or not!

Here are the glasses I got my daughter:
They look great on her and she loves them!

Can I say another great thing is their glasses start at $6.95! I promise you won't find glasses starting at that price at the doctor office.
EyeBuyDirect.com is giving one of my lucky readers one free pair of 1.5 single vision RX eyeglasses (Exclusion of designer eyewear and sunglasses.) Open to US and Canada residents Only!

Mandatory Entry: Visit http://www.eyebuydirect.com/, “Like” your favorite frame.(For those who don’t have facebook) Tweet: I love (frame name) @ EyeBuyDirect.com

Texas

Written by my friend Dong Wood

Texas has a lot of idiosyncrasies and people here are really loyal to the state. Like, scary loyal. I love how excited people get to defend Texas and how much state pride they literally wear on their clothes but to be honest I can’t say that I relate. I love my new job here and the people at my office but it’s going to take me some time to adjust to this new life. Things like Www.TexasElectricityProviders.com and all the barbeque aren’t stuff I expected so I guess you could say I’m sort of like a fish out of water at the moment! I love being in a new environment but I think that Texas is about as far away from upstate New York as you could imagine so you can understand why I’m so out of my element. We’ll have to see how things evolve over the next few months but hopefully I’ll get more comfortable with my surroundings and start to feel at home here in the Lone Star state.

National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month!

With a new school year started it's easy to choose items that may save time but are ultimately less nutritious. Well the month of September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month and it's even more important to make sure kids have access to healthy food, undrstand the foods they eat, and get in on the action of making healthy meals.

One of the best ways to help your children learn about nutrition is to cook with them! Spice up dinner time by serving breakfast for dinner. Why not seve a Canadian Breakfast Pizza and swap out whole eggs for just the whites. Using egg whites lowers the meal's calories, fat, and cholesterol content and is still packed with protein that growing kids need. Sprinkle in reduced fat cheese and opt for margarine with low trans- and saturated fats and volia! You have an easy and fun meal for dinner. How simple is that?

Before stocking up for school, make a meal plan with your family. This will not only save you time at the supermarket but also keep you from being overwhelmed. Sitting down with your children gives them a choice in what they eat (which they will love!) and also gives you time to plot out smart choices to help navigate the store. All too often, kids are rewarded after school, dance class, or a soccer game with sugary, full-calorie foods and drinks. Make sure you keep in mind that there are lots of choices that not only taste great, but are better for them too! One way to cut back on calories and fat is by keeping in mind these healthy alternatives when packing lunches or serving after school snacks.

Instead of:
Sugar-sweetened beverages
Sodas

Try:
100% fruit juice
Fat-free or 1% fat milk
Low sodium vegetable juice
Water with sugar-free flavoring

Instead of:
Full calorie chips and crackers

Try:
Unsalted sunflower seeds
Unsalted rice cakes
Bananas
Carrot or celery sticks with CHI-CHI's Snackers

Instead of:
Sweetened cold cereals

Try:
Oatmeal

Instead of:
Traditional pre-packaged deli lunch meat

Try:
100% natural Hormel Natural Choice deli sandwich meats with zero preservatives

Check out this Shop Smart Guide from Hormel Natural Choice on for more tips on how to shop smart and find nutritious food options.

So, why not get your family involved and start planning healthy nutrious meals! What better way to help cut down on childhood obesity!
